Man, we had a brief snow two days ago (outlandish here in the willamette valley). I should have taken photos of my bus with it's snow coat.

Santa's bus heading to the workshop to pick up his german aircooled toys for all those good boy's and girl's. If you've been bad this year you won't get a lump of coal, instead the aircooled elfs have decieded to give the bad boys and girls GEX heads..... Laughing Laughing

edit - Hey 56Ovalbug - that's one way to keep the heat soak low. Wink

Yesh! Did that all come in from the rear vents? Anyone have recommendations on how to keep this from happeneing? Is it a good idea to block off those vents?

I've never had a problem with snow getting in the vents of my Bus in the wintertime. Considering your engine is AIR COOLED and the air to cool your engine comes from those vents, blocking them off is not a good idea at all.

Well, no pics to post (no digi cam)

But yesterday we got about 5 inches 'o snow.......no plows on the dirts roads for that.

I drove down (7% grade) to the highway, and up to the town. (no issues)

On the way back up my dirt road, I was stuck......tried 3 times, tires spinning in the mirror.

I went back to the bottom of the hill, dropped my rear air presure to 27psi, and drove up the 1 mile hill like I had chains on.......

just sayin'

p.s. tire pressure matters

Don't believe the Global Warming hype. It snowed in my Sunshine state last week. http://www.usatoday.com/weather/news/2006-11-21-florida-cold_x.htm

And they said we would be trashed by Hurricanes this year also, and hurricane season is over. Scientific guesses. That's all predictions are. No snow touched my bus, but it could happen. Even in FL. Very Happy

HA!! It's been in the 60's since last Saturday here in beautiful Central New York. In fact, today it was damn near 70 and we had record warmth. I wore shorts all day and loved it. We haven't had so much as a dusting of snow yet.

Funny, we've been having a record cold streak here in Sonoma County, California. Shocked

Silly 'ol Alaskan cold front forgot it's way. No snow this time, although it does happen on occasion.
