Bare spot is from where Golf was parked; I took the picture when I left for church this morning. |
Why'd you take the Golf over the Thing? The thing looked like the clear off road winner of the two. _________________ Brutis Patches Izabich: 1970 VW Transporter - 1776cc DP

...but it's only 40% covered.
Here's a "Bays near Snow" pic of Wanderglobe's bus, which I'm looking after while he's in Canada...
Don't hurry back, Wanderglobe. It's fun having a running bus. |

I took the pics for him, he ended up finding a closer alternative, the yard wanted 5 bills for the top if I removed it I asked about the whole bus after the top was sold and they told me 2 grand still in negotiations for some parts waiting to see what shakes out. _________________ Nathan

Oh, I don't think so. I just gave $1G for a shell to get much needed sheet metal. The price of fun is going up and yards can figure demand and value very quickly these days. _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

Apparently there is a "VW guru" who they are friendly with that goes in there and tells them what a treasure they have and I think they guess on prices.i remember seeing the van originally at a park and ride broke down with a tow sticker, this was almost 20 years ago during a Phish show, bus almost made it to Alpine valley before the GEX got them. I inquired on the rear drums and was told 150 for the both of them. I'm really hoping that they come to realize it's a few hundred dollar bus at most. _________________ Nathan
