Hey Bill (WCFVW69) Yeah, I got a truck for the big stuff but there are things I would rather not toss in a truck like 1000 + VW toys, or my collection of vintage Neon Signs. I see your in Arizona, so you don't take into consideration the slipping and falling, general sloppiness and worst of all SALT ! Then there are the potholes , blew out two tires and destroyed an alloy rim on my Volvo.
Not to mention we get (maybe) seven months to enjoy our VW's , so this is cutting in to our Quality VW time.
Had to vent Brother ! , Have a great weekend Smile

I was being a wise guy Laughing Living in Phoenix, we don't see any white stuff. Having lived in Colorado for several years, that was enough snow and ice for me! Burr..

I think many folks are done with that weather based on how many are moving into Arizona each year!

If you want to do much with your day a 50° high is preferable to a 100° high. Wink

And not just from the NE...
My brother and sis-in-law are considering moving to Prescott, after living in the PNW for 30+ years.
At least they will live closer, and we can get together more often.

I was going to pull a few parts of the old Westfalia but there was a bit more snow than I expected.

Yesterday, NYC received 6” of snow. It was the largest single-day snowfall in November in 136 years. Mayor was totally unprepared and many parts of the city came to a rare standstill. We know teachers who had 5-8 hour commutes home and two who had to sleep on their desks at school!

This guy wasn’t phased at all:

Neena....bump those wipers off the screen so the snow load doesn’t bend the wiper arms. Look around for some old John Faso political signs, cut the burned parts off, and roll them into wiper standoffs. No one will steal them because no one wants to look into the face of evil

Or just slip a paper towel tube or something waterproof over wiper and arm to keep wiper from freezing to glass.

Rather than allowing the snow to collect on the wipers, the standoffs would allow more of the snow to pass and therefore, negate any strain on the (wiper) drive motor, because of the additional weight. Also, there's like likelihood that the wiper blades are frozen to the windshield.
