the new regulators from bosch are crap, I have gotten them bad out of the box, but it does seem like a lot. to check for a short, take out all of your fuses but 1. disconnect the ground strap from the car (not the battery!) touch the ground strap to the frame. Does it spark? If no, take out that fuse, and put it in next fuse location, and see if there is a spark at the frame/ground strap. keep doing this untill you have checked all of the circuts. when you find one that has spark, you have a short on that circut. (a clock, radio, or other "add on acc." will do this as well, disconnect them while looking for shorts).

get a wiring diagram from www.vintagebus.com it will make tracing the wire easier. find the short, rap it up with tape if the wire looks ok, replace it if it looks really burnt. -SAC ERIK
