Wheel adapters:
These are really nice units. Corey makes a good product, and they work well. Plus, he was great to deal with.
(In my area, there are no tire places that can balance lug-centric wheels, so the $58 was money well spent.)

Thanks for the feedback. I had a similar problem with the local tire shops and that's why I started making these.

I just got mine yesterday - thanks for the super-fast shipping, question answering, etc. I hope I don't need it for a while, but it looks great and will be nice to have next time I need tires.

Mine arrived today. I am very impressed with the workmanship and the dealings with Corey. It will be interesting to see how the tire shop responds to this. However, I think I'll insist that they let me tighten the lug bolts....don't want them to handle the aluminum plate like a gorilla!
Thanks for a nice tool, Corey. _________________ L572 |

Glad to help. My local shop would not use it unless I was the one to put it on the rim. I prefer that anyway. Those clowns would probably use an impact wrench which would make quick work of the aluminum threads. I usually tighten mine down just barely snug. _________________ Type 1 - '68, '74

Corey:That's what I'm thinking, as well. I watch some of those shops go after high dollar alloy wheels with the old air impact wrench...makes me cringe! That one experience is enough to avoid such shops. _________________ L572 |

We have been driving around with unbalanced wheels as our tire shops were unable to balance the 5 lug wheels. Safety has always been my biggest concern until I found Corey's adapter.
Corey has been so accommodating, explained everything I needed to know on the product and even sent a picture of how its mounted. This is an awesome product and worth every dollar I paid for and Corey is such a wonderful guy to deal with.
It will take sometime to finally arrive here but I am sure will be worth the waiting. Looking forward to a smoother and safer ride. Thanks Corey. |

I wanted to tell you that I used your disk on Saturday to balance a new set of tires. You made the impossible possible! The last time I was able to do that was in 1994 when I found a dealer with the old spin balancing machine. The machine has since died, and I had no way to get the job done, until now.
Thanks!

I just bought some other parts and had great communication, shipping, etc as well. Forgot that you were the guy that made the wheel adapters - they loved it at the tire place when I got my new tires on the truck last year.

Wanted to bump this thread and say I received my balance adapters a few days after ordering them. They look very well made and just what I needed. My local tire shops aren't able to balance wide 5 VW wheels without the adapters. Also, Corey replied back promptly to answer my questions.
Thanks Corey!

I just bought an adapter. It arrived very quickly. Two days later I had new tires installed on the bus. The tire shop said the adapter was perfect and had no problem spin balancing the tires. As soon as I find a few extra lug bolts, I'm going to bolt the adapter to my spare (in case it is needed on trip and so I don't lose it in the garage )
