There is a NOS one up right now at $400. Good luck.

One from Craigslist $12K project. Smile

The NOS mirror I picked up was still in the original packaging, including having the screw protectors. I guess that's what I consider to be "New, Old Stock." Mine:

The "NOS" one advertised is very mint looking and may very well have never been mounted but it seems to be missing the NOS base seal and hardware:

If these prices are anywhere near a reflection of reality should the day ever come where I want to sell my lowlight I may unload it piece by piece. Twisted Evil

Pete, I dont think these asking prices are what these parts actually sell for. You recent purchase IMO is more in line with "what the market will bear". Many of the these items sit on the market sometimes for years. Maybe they are waiting for the selling prices to rise to their asking price Idea Question Confused .
When cruising the classifieds for parts its probably wise to look to see how long an ad has been up, other ads for the same item and ask around for input.

No disagreement here. I had hoped the evil smiling emoji would've tipped folks off to my jest regarding these prices being anywhere near reality. Very Happy

Not really a gripe...just a reality check on NOS prices.

They set their own price and if you have to have them you make an offer...

I saw those John, I almost added them to the other bumper thread.
Let me gripe for you.
ARE YOU CRAZY?
ok, I feel better. Cool
I dont think anyone has to have this NOS set. Feel sorry for you guys, if these are Euro prices?
BTW, Are 70-71 restored ghias in the $40,000-$45,000 range?

You too can have a new Ghia bumper, for the low, low price of a halfway decent Ghia... Rolling Eyes

Yes but as we all know NOS isn't a necessity, it's an obsession. Confused

Too right! I've just forked out for this pile of "unobtanium"
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2037912
You can imagine the exchange rates and shipping are murderous.

Obsession, possession or do I need help from a shaman!

I'm beginning to wonder if NOS really stands for

No doubt some of us have the "itch" for NOS items. I know plenty just like Nicholas who are willing to step up for them. Im sure he will take good care of that stash Very Happy yet I dont expect the bumper set to have a Sydney address label. Cool
I like KGCoupes new acronym. Very Happy

I deleted the first ad because I'm guessing to sold and is being flipped.

The first guy posted it several months ago, got a TON of emails, and hasn't visited since.
