These appear to be the single piece nose badge for '60 to '63. Not so common but these ones are a tad optimistic in the asking price.

Hmmm looks like my '58 Emblem...although I've never taken mine off my Ghia so I don't know how many parts there are. Same seller has this for sale: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1602219 Hurry if you want it...it's only been there for 3 years. Wink

Dave Ruby in an old thread...
The blue badge was used til early Sept 57.
Then the heavy one piece (as in the ad) late sept 57 til 62 (as on johns low light too).
62+ the two piece badge.
Did I sell my one piece badges cheap? damn! Wink

https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=598036&highlight=nose+badge

Then there are those nice blue ones that those Aussie guys have close access to. Cool

I think so. Looks like a lot of oil on the rusty "patina". Discloses rust in normal places, but it doesn't look as bad as many have repaired. At least rust and filler is not hidden under recent paint. Interior looks like a lot of nice correct parts. Seems reasonable for a 57. don't wait too long.

Just think of how much it would be worth if he cleaned it.

I agree with John...natural patina is what it is, a natural sign of ageing, a survivor.

It's also a reasonable price for a solid '62.

I'm liking it too.
I went to Bug-In 42 Sunday. They had a huge display (like 25-30 cars) of original paint "patina" cars. There was a Black, original paint 58 lowlight that could have been Lisa's car older sister. Smile This car reminds me a lot of that other car. Sorry no pics of the black lowlight John. Could have been close to yours (Betty's) on the assembly line too.

I got 1st Runner up in "Custom Ghia class. Embarassed
