Having had to install a used speedometer in my Ghia, I'm always going to be suspicious of any Ghia advertised with a less than 10 000 miles or other unusually low mileage.
It's relatively easy to "adjust" the odometer reading on the Ghia speedo. I know: I've had to do it to match the old speedo's reading for Warrant of Fitness purpuses.
4000 original miles? Fact or fiction? That is the question. _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly

A user name that starts with "Cons" does not, in this case, appear inconsistent with their pricing practices. _________________ “…It's not just about what's interesting. It's also about what's helpful, and it's helpful even if it helps just one other guy working on a Ghia.”

I expect they're EARLY ghia torsion bar covers. |
"Correct box is not included!" Hmmm... It'll be interesting to see the asking price for the box when it goes up for sale. |

Obviously if you have the box you can keep blasting used ones and saying they are NOS.
Sort of like this guy with a used tach and a box thinking it's NOS now
(Note: This guy is me and I'm joking) _________________ How to Post Photos

i'd sell you the mirror for less if you'd like. I tried to compare prices to some others, but they are either heavily pitted/broken, aftermarket, or a different style.

I would take anything said in this thread with a pinch of salt Conrad. It's a place to vent on ever increasing prices in the hobby not a personal attack. You're quite entitled to pitch your prices where you see fit. It sounds like you've looked at similar items and priced your superior mirror just that much higher. Ultimately what will tell you or anyone else if it's realistically priced is...does it sell. _________________ John.

Hear, Hear! I propose a toast to all our moderators. You guys have that certain je ne sais quoi that makes the Samba a pleasant place to visit. |

I sent him a message that surely this must be a typo.
Just doesn’t seem sensible. |
