Daum! I forgot about that one as well! It was on my wall in the early days. I wonder where it went. Cool

The blurple square had a lot more stuff done to it and I was making a point about the louvers around the same time. Yellow fasty was kind of plain/cheap.

Early featured examples of cool T3s that got me hooked. I remeber wanting a resto custom before the term was coined. It was cars like that that inspired my desires.

T2 safari windows are renowned for their ability to let water in. Personally, I won't run 'em up here. That "square" is pretty cool though. I actually like the headlight treatment.

Does anyone have the issue that Future Shock notchback was in or any other photos of the car to share?
Also have any of you type 3 owners ever converted an automatic, not auto stick, to 4 speed ? If so how difficult and how much fabrication did it take?

the big thing will be if your pan still has the clutch tubes or not. if you you have them... not to bad. if you don't, you have to add them or go hydraulic clutch.

what about a shift rod and shift housing? I don't know much about automatics but I dont think the components are there that are needed for a manual tranny or even an autostick.

Thanks Norm, Brian Watts is looking for pictures as well.

Just so you guys know the soldier that put a deposit down on the car was redeployed back to Iraq so the car is for sale again. I am negotiating as we speak but have allot to consider.

I saw the Kid Dean Squareback at the Lonestar Roundup Custom and Hot Rod show in Austin, TX this last weekend in the swap meet area. I had some other people with me and didn't have time to get a good picture but here is what I have.

Back then the louvers were cool... Embarassed

I agree that the louvers where cool back then I had them on my 67 Fastbcak Front and rear I still like them. I actually would love to find a place that still does louvering today. The Louvers on this squareback have no style to them they are just square and plain,

Yep, Don. I agree. No imagination/thought on this one. "I want a bunch of louvers on..." that's it. Confused

Holy crap, I totally remember the Page Proctor Square and the red Fasty with the overriders. Those two cars gave me a ton of inspiration when building cars back then. I also happen to like the louvers I did back in the day. My fasty had louvers front and rear and I had a square that had them on the hood. Do you guys have scans of those two cars? I would love to see them again!
