Should my 67 Conv Ghia have a key lock on the glove box door? I was told no at one time, then I saw a 67 that had a key lock. What should it have, a key lock or just a plain push button? |

I may be mistaken, but I think the verts were the ONLY ones to have the locking door, and that all verts had 'em. Logic was they needed it since the top could be left down. I don't think the coupes had the lock, since you could just lock the doors. I also think a lot of the coupe guys buy up the locking buttons so they can leave their windows down. |

That's what I was thinking. Anybody out there have one they would like to sell. I don't need a key, I'll have Gabriel re-key it anyways. Thanks! |

coupes also got the locks..it looks like from 1970-74. They used a different key then the ignition/lock...I don't know that keying it the same is an option.
...and the repro ones are very decent |

Wouldn't the key for the front hood lock be the same for the glove box lock? |

Probably, but if he has a coupe then his trunk release doesn't have a key lock. |

It's for a 67 Conv Ghia. The trunk release is under the left side of the dash and has a lock. Looking for a lock mechanism for my glove box. I have a separate ignition key, and a separate front hood lock key. I have a 68 coupe that has the front hood release in the glove box. 68 is the first year for that. |
