Okay, I'll admit, I am a dumkopf on Ghias, there I said it.. Now, on to the issue at hand..I cannot seem to get warm air to come o0ut of the defroster vents, at the top of the dash, on my 69 KG Coupe. I have done what the Owner's Manual said, only turning on the front heater lever, leaving the other one closed, and having the little levers under the dash, pushed forward. The heater will burn your feet, so I know the heater box connections are good, and the air is being cooling fan driven into the cabin, but is there a diverter valve somewhere that I am missing? Even with the heater on and cranking the BTU's, the defroster vents are blowing, but they are blowing cold air... What Gives?

Cold air only comes from the nostrils. Make sure the fresh air control knobs actually have cables attached to them, which actually actuate the valves. Also, according to the manual, knobs pushed forward - as you say you've done - would open the fresh air vents allowing cool air in.

Does your 69 still have control lever #3. These often get deleted when people "restore" 69-71 Ghias, and then the ability to close the front footwell vents and divert heat to the windshield will be lost.

It seems to be all there and operational..those footwell outlets get good and warm, but I can't seem to transfer that to the defrosters. Anxious

With the heat turned off, verify that you can stop cool air from coming through the defroster vents. You need to make sure the fresh air vent knobs are in the closed or off position. The off position should be towards the front of the car. Then turn the heat on and see if it's coming through the defroster vents.

If not, check that the cable to lever #3 is actually closing the footwell vent.

Also check that the Y-shaped mixing tube behind the dash is properly connected to the dash vent, and that the feed from the heat in the heater channels is connected to the mixing tube.

That you. Era, I will be checking all of this out. This Ghia was, for all intents and purposes, unmolested and original, it has all of it's knobs and controls, still, and I can feel just a tiny bit or resistance when I move the control levers, both under the dash, and under the front quarter panel, so I am ASSuming the cables are still operative..
