Local Pick n Pull just put out a 63 11 window.
Almost complete non-walk thru.
Has: 6 pop outs, 1600 DP with serpentine belt drive and 2 barrel progressive, small nut transaxle, lots of
rust, replacement front glass, rear glass is Sekurit, right door is a 67!.
Missing so far: all seats, gas gauge, all switches, horn button, m-code plate , drivers outside ice pick handle, crago door handles, rear hatch handle.
Has 14" wheels. Has M-code 531 which is "stiffer rear suspension".
Inside I found a brand new replacement left side lower rocker tin. Left it there. Also found a Wolfsburg West replacement pass side rocker. Bought it. Found a brand new drivers side front floor replacement section. Bought it.
Any one want anything off it? Has the non walk thru bulkhead still in it. |

What was wrong with the whole bus? Is it worth buying or a parts bus. _________________ GFK

No pictures. Sorry. [they frown on bringing cameras in, not sure why]
I did not ask if I could buy it. 9 out of 10 vehicles in the local self-serve yards are abatement vehicles. If it is an abatement vehicle, by law they can only sell parts off it. They cannot sell the whole vehicle. |

My brother was taking pics in a junkyard one time and the owner freaked. My bro just liked the way these old rusty cars were piled on each other. But the owner said it had something to do with insurance. Didn't want the cars photoed in case they were involved in some court case. This was down in south San Diego back in the early 80's so my guess is a few of those cars had "increased in value' coming back from Mexico. The whole scene was a bit Repo-Man-ish.

Sorry guys, but as soon as I heard about this bus, I drove 187 miles to it and I took the popouts and passenger side windshield.... looks like it was originally a standard, but at some point they installed a camper interior. |

thanks for the offer, but I am looking for the stiffer rear torsion bars for my doublecab. I have plenty of sets of the normal ones. (I save them for pulling stripped buses out of fields) _________________ .

oh what a joy that would be, removing a B-pillar without power tools. (pick-n-pull doesn't allow power tools) a freind of mine cut off a deluxe roof with a hacksaw at a pick-n-pull once. _________________ .
