This may help with clarification of the seal question.From my Genuine VW
Parts List book it appears that the illstraution used by KGPR is composit of
three illstrautions (26/27/2 ,however KGPR omits two insert bars(left&right)
used from chasis 142 2000 001. Also from the book two different weatherstrips were used ,up to 141 3200 000 then from 142 0000 001.
I also purchased my top from Jim at HoG many years ago,however it
came with no holes for tension wires or side attachment. Do newer tops
have holes already punched ?
