Does anyone know if the original style # stamps are available for re-stamping my chassis # into my tunnel? I'm looking for the same height, style and design as the original numbers done at Wolfsburg. I'm looking to re-stamp my # into the tunnel and want it to look as close as original as possible. If they're out there, where can I find them?
My vin# on my 53 is really hard to read now after blasting the chassis even when we had covered it up to try to protect it with tape. It was hard to read to begin with and now it is really hard to see so I want to try to correct this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

It will be difficult to find the exact font style and size. I mixed and matched several stamp sets to get fonts that resemble the originals for the key tags that I offer.

FYI - Stamp height is measured by the center line of the top arm of the number to the center line of the bottom arm, rather than from the very top to the very bottom of the number. If you are going to try to find stamps measure your numerals appropriately.

I would suggest engraving the original stampings by hand in your case. This should add the depth you need and once it is painted over it should look the same as original.
