And I remember buying single 4.5 at Pomoma for $125 thinking I paid $25 too much. I remember when espi paid $1000 buy it now on ebay for a pair and we were like DAAMN thats a grip. They were normally $800 a pair at the time.

Yeah you are right, but the market for earlies is crazy right now... i need a single deep6 and have either been outbid, or too late on the past 9 that have come up for sale the past 3 months! Evil or Very Mad

Took me almost 3 years to find a 5½ to mate with the single I had. That's part of the fun!

The bidding got to $735 and the reserve had not been met. I think the reserve was $950 because the next lower bid was quite abit lower than $950. I don't know if that is right but the increments were at $10 so the next lower bid should have been $10 below winning bid. Is that right or am I all messed up on that e*ay stuff?

hi guys,
i have buy a set of 4 4.5x15 in original condition for $1200 in 11/2006 on a VW web site, think was a good deal.
For the auction you were talking, i have contact the buyer because i've 1 single 4.5x15 for sale.
I've offer him $800 and he is ok, just need to send him pictures.
Now, market is crazy : €5000 for a set of 4 originals BRM (during 2006 on ebay) !!!

I was working late one night when somebody posted four 4.5's with caps and tires for $500. This was back a couple years ago. It was about 3 in the morning I couldnt believe it. I emailed him and paypal'd him minutes later. The guy said they came on an oval he just bought that day and couldnt believe I wanted them that bad. I told him to keep the tires if he was willing to dismount them.

55Bundt bought his pair on here a few years ago for $750. He was like "Damn dont you think thats a lot?" they had been on for a week with no buyers. I told him, if you wanna roll with the big dogs you gotta pay the cost. I told him the next set will be $800 atleast so he bought them. Then the fool saw a guy at the Bug In with a set of five 4.5's for $1200 and he bought the worst one for $200 and left the rest cuz he thought he only needed one more for a spare. Laughing Brick wall

Shit I sold RK a sweet set OG condition, black in the V's only. I sold them to him for $650, the hook up price and he complained because they had scotch brite scrub marks on them. He was gonna have them fully polished anyways. I was like forget it, Im just gonna keep them from now on. I was sitting on about 10 at the time. I wish I was balling now. Im short on my supply.

Anytime someone asks me for some wheels I lie and tell them "I don't have any"

That's keeps them from bugging the heck out of you.
I know what I have will be worth more next year.

These fools want to buy wheels cheap "buddy price" and then turn around and sell them.

I let that happen once.
Never again.

The only time I sell wheels is when I know of a better wheel set to buy.
