|
|
Hi was wondering if anyone can tell me about this panel. it is a perfect match color wise for my sea blue bus interior. It seems a bit small as it does not fit all the way to the back of the rear seat but does fit every where else perfect? Was there maybe a change over the years in size? also it has holes and marks on it that appear to be just like the panel screws and washers on my other panels have, but I can not find any holes in the luggage area? thanks for any help

It looks like a normal Standard Microbus rear deck panel. As you guessed, it is normally screwed into the rear deck.
There were some changes in the panel but it had more to do with color and of course the change made when the rear hatch got larger and the rear deck shape changed. _________________ How to Post Photos

that might explain why i have no holes in the luggage area , sooooo this was not in deluxe models only standards? my bus is a 66 21 window. also E the rear deck shape change happened when? would this also explains why it seems a bit smaller than the area in my 66?possiably for a earlier model? thanks again |

1. Only standard microbuses had the rear luggage panel. That one is out of a turkis standard.
2. Deluxes had carpet, for commercials models they were bare there
3. The rear deck shape changed when they went from the small to large hatch
4 The shape is also different for walkthrough and bench models. Or perhaps I should say, for buses with the spare tire in the back corner or not. The one shown is out of a no-spare-tire-in-the-back-corner bus
5. Shipping one of these is not cheap, unfortunately, due to size.
6. The little tang that goes around the front of the gas filler often gets banged and breaks off. _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |
