Hello guys
here is my farther and my lattest find - it is a raceing car that was build 1952 from a chassis of a kubelwagen. The engine is a kdf double carburator and the body is from aluminium. We have to do 40 % of the alu new as the car had a very bad accident at it last race over 35 years ago and then it was standing nice that time in a weet place.
Bye Christian
Our 1945 is by the painter now.

Wow, cool score!!! The car looks faster than it probably ever was. What kind of wheels is it running? Looks like old Ford or Opel, perhaps?

What a great vintage race car, very cool!!! There was some serious time spent getting that body shaped and fitted.

Nimamashr.

Have all the above in your request, will swap for all parts in your last pix. Just give me time to let the paint dry on the NOS never used car from HH (He had no licence and never drove the 1938 Cabrio).

Very neat find Christian!
I really enjoy all the strange stuff like this...much more exciting than the basic production cars in my opinion. Pretty odd looking car but completed it will be awesome to be sure. Once you have it done you should enter the Mille Miglia or something with it...give those vintage Ferrari guys something to scratch their heads at!

Christian,

You mention that the wheels on the Kuebel racer are Opal: are those the 17inch ones drom befor the war? If so then they must fit the wide 5 VW drums.

Pls confirm, I've wondered about that.
Didnt the Berlin Rom racers also have 17 at one time?

Eric
