Agreed, supers are cool. They are the final evolution of the bug. How could anyone not like them. Yes, I like the look of older bugs better. But most drive like a log truck once they are lowered.

Personally, I like the bigger view from the driver's seat on supers

I have a 67 and 77 standards and a 74 super.
The super is the Cadillac of them.It rides and handles like a dream. That being said, for some reason the 67 is still my favorite to drive.

I have a early 72 SB.. it has/had drum brakes and is getting all new urathane bushings.I have seen here that youcan get ridof that45 mph shimmy with new front end parts...so as i pulledhe drums then the ball jounts then the sway bar ...control arm,tie rods, stearing dampner. I dont seem to be able to stop myself from taking things off cleaning and painting or just replacing... It is so muchfun !!

Whenever possible fit hubcentric drums/rotors & wheels to your Super - the factory chose to on the later models.

Although im a big fan of the standard bugs for the dash design I absolutely love my super. I drove a 64 Standard for a little while and I love my Super even more after it! Its the Cadillac of bugs suspension wise.
