Looks like they just used the pics from the BAT listing for this ad. Wonder if the front apron is still damaged and the rear air bag mount seems a bit suspect. Most of all to me the color is very off putting and the interior to. Like they say there is a lid for every pot and someplace this is a dream car for someone............. |

Not the right pan either for that year of car. I wonder how he got that VIN settled. I would be suspicious.

somewhere over the course of 60+ years, a careless 6 became an 8 on DMV filed papers, and now the DMV does not want to correct the mistake. Sounds completely plausible. As long as the vin/title/body numbers were in line I would not be bothered.

Definitely a 1956 Canada Custom. Pretty uncommon to see one with a sunroof. It does have 1958 (ish) brakes that are mounted like an oval (with the cylinders on the bottom) and pretty sure it's got later rear axle bearing housings because the bottom bolts on the rear shocks should be straight, not on an angle. Looks like a really nice resto to me, I wonder why the issue with the year, maybe Florida registers cars by the year of the brakes.

says florida dmv gave him grief trying to change it to 56.
vin plate says typ 1/11 but surely by 56 they were stamping 115 for lhd standard with ragtop. otherwise engine (feb 56) body (feb 56) and floorpan (mar 56) seem ok
