hey everyone, it's been a while since i've been on here, but i'm hoping someone look past my "sacriligeous bastardization" of a good VDub and help me out..
I'm currently deployed and the bandwidth on the ship sucks so it's dificult for me to get back to this page to check for replies so if you don't mind, please forward replies to: [email protected]
now on to the request..
Does anyone know what happened to www.volksrods.com? or know of any other sites like it? I've got a '72 std with the fiberglass '37 ford front end. and since my ship isn't hitting any ports this deployment, i'll have some money saved up when i get home. I'd like to start work via my brother taking my car to a shop in the SF Bay Area, calif. so it's done before I get back.
I'm looking to swap the VW front end with a Ford I-Beam with disc brakes and hairpin springs. also get rid of the front fenders, throw disc brakes in the back with some taller shocks to give it the raked look without lowering the front.
I know it can be done, but I don't know the how. I apologize for posting something this far from stock on here, but i'm not sure where else to go.
thanks in advance!

Man I hate it when people do that to VW's.
But... er.... hmmm. That car IS pretty damn cool looking.
I actually don't oppose doing crap like that when it's on a VW that's wrecked or something. I can justify baja the same way. But to hack on a good VW? No way. |
