Oettinger wheels

Those oettinger style wheels have got to be the best looking wheels ever. Do those things ever make it over here to the states?

Which ones? If you're talking about the deep dish 5 spokes on the Oettinger Caravelle in the classified section, the answer is yes. In the late 1980s you could go down to Discount Tire and many other performance wheel places and order them. They are the Ronal R9 and were also commonly used on Mercedes, BMW and even Camaros and lowrider Toyota Trucks. They're hard to find these days, but sometimes they show up. They came in 15x7, 16x7, 16x8, and 16x9. Only the 15x7 and 16x7 fit on the front of a Vanagon, but a cool look is to use 16x7s on the front and then 16x8s on the rear.

They're my favorite Vanagon wheel. Glad to hear someone else likes them.

I will have to agree. Very nice wheels. I need new tires and it is time to upgrade my wheels as well. Wish I could find some. Guess I have to make something else due.
