The post of mine I referenced above has a link to a very helpful video that makes it less dire. You can yank that @#$!$ fiberglass insulation and do a BUNCH of good things--and perhaps you, unlike me, will have... Help!

My fridge will light and stay lit every time without the outer 2 pieces (baffle and cage) installed. If I carefully install them while lit, I can hear the flame begin to sputter and then it goes out. I can also light it when fully assembled, but it will sputter out every time after about 8 seconds.
The baffle piece is very slightly bent and has a tiny amount of play when the flue is fully assembled on my workbench (not screwed into the van). It stays in position and is not loose enough to block fresh air intake. I tried to flatten it completely in my vice between pieces of wood, but it's pretty thick gauge.
I'm also at a higher altitude, so am considering lowering the regulator's pressure setting a smidge. Looking for any other ideas before I attempt that. It happens on the new regulator on the van as well as on my bench with another (new) 11" regulator, so based on that I am doubtful it would make any difference. _________________ 1984 Campmobile Automatic |
