Are there different Golde ragtop handles for 2 and 3 fold cars? If so, what is the difference?

Yes.

3 folds have a crease/groove down the middle like the door handle and window winder like this:

3 Fold Ragtop handles are like finding hen's teeth - believe me, I need one!

2 folds have a solid handle, like the door handle and the window winder like this:

Eventually in '63, they went to a folding type handle like this for Deluxe models:

Question... Will the later 2 fold handle.. fit on a 3 fold for the time being?? (Until I find a 3 fold handle).... I know the 3 fold had an escutcheon (sp) and a spring... does the 2 fold have the same.... Ive owned lots of ragtops.. but that was the 1980's and frankly I cant remember?????

Yes, all the handles used the same spline size. If need be, you can even install an inner door handle to get the sunroof to open

1950-55 used a 2pc Chromed escutheon with a spring. 1956-later used an Ivory escutheon & a spring. The escutheon used on 1956-later cars is the same piece used behind the inner door handles & window winders
