When climbing a hill and turning to the left at 35-40mph I experience a knocking sound in the front end. No shimmy or vibration are noted in the steering. This knocking is not noticed while on level, going down hill, turning right while going up hill at the above mentioned speeds.

Thanks,
Jerry

Sounds dumb but could one of the front tires be rubbing on something like the fender, or frame, or a hose? Because if there's no shimmy or shake then the front end components are OK.

I will double check the things mentioned.
The knocking is clcylic, like connected to a tire.
Wheel bearing? No squeak or looseness.
Strut? Bounces good.
It is not noticeable straight and level. Steady as a rock up to 65 then get a slight shimmey. Turning to left going up hill.
Got me.
