back seat differences

I need a new back for my 71 super. Are the back seats different from year to year? from standard to super? Or will any back seat from any beetle work? thanks, Dan

I have a super 71 and a super 72. I haven't taken measurements, but the back seats look identical to me.

I tried mounting retractable seat belts out of a newer SB in my 71 and they didn't fit (due to the seat getting in the way of the whole mechanism), so I'd guess the newer back seats are different.

somebody's going to give me the seat froma 67 (regular obviously) i'll keep you posted. If it doesn't work, i can get one out of a 74 super, and try that. I should have mentioned, only the top half.
