I'd say it's titled as a '57 because it is a '57... body and pan... with a bar splitting the original oval window.

Sorry, I disagree that the term "as original" is correct when it's not the same typeface or colour as on the original ones. Here's the original:

… and my old '50 onna' '72 pan,- titled as a 1972 - who cares - was a great deal for a running car at only $400 - zero complaints here... some of us are desperate for (unaffordable) splits - cheer us up - have pity on us, but we are all having fun - no one-way to have fun...
… was advertised as a 1950 and it sorta' is a '50 > IMHO

The point here is that no part of this car is a 1953 Zwitter, and to imply otherwise, as the advertisement did, is misleading. A genuine 1950 body on a later pan is a different matter entirely. |

Doesn't look like a zwitter switch I've seen before, unless the threads are the same for the mounting? Yes, it's rectangular like a zwitter switch...

Hello and merry Christmas...
The Mickey Mouse Clock was mine...  It fitted exactly into the dash hole...of my '52 original 11e British Army of the Rhine Beetle....  .I'm in the UK but alas the car is now in Japan...  .I presume Sinclair of this forum still has the clock..

Geoff - so that people know what you are talking about, here's the picture again. If you look at the Samba advert link above, you'll see that Sinclair has already sold it.
As you know, I was impressed when I saw that you had put that clock in place, so as not to take everything too seriously! |
