I don't get it - what makes this so expensive?

Because it's 25hp? It's early 36hp too. You cannot buy them new.

I just bought 5 last week from CIP1. Of course, they got mangled in shipping (hint: do not mix a muffler, heater boxes, and 5 oil screens all loose in the same box)

The ones you bought are different and won't fit unless your oil pickup tube has been modified.

I see. I hadn't tried to fit one of the new ones to the 25hp - it's screen was in nice shape.

I imagine you could mod the replacement screen instead of the oil pickup...

I guess you could punch a hole in it to let the pickup tube pass through but then it wouldn't be pulling oil through the screen.

I modified a 36 horse screen to fit the 25. I basically crushed the aluminum base part so the screen was down to bottom where the studs go through it. It has worked fine, I've been driving the car this year, and no problems...

Batwing looks better? Yeah right!

There are 3 wheels in that ad, all of them rare, all of them with rare hornbuttons.

In the end, if its for all 3, might not be that crazy.

No, I understand the rarity, and they're not selling aesthetics, or opinions for that matter. Like I said, I have better things to do with that kind of cash.

I tried to buy this car. I tried and tried, and finally got one phone call when I wasn't home (and he tells me he doesn't have a callback #), and a couple emails from him, but I couldn't get some basic questions answered (what's the extent of the rust, what's the chassis #).

I did to. I couldn't get any questions answered and then didn't get any replys at all. I thought it was sold so I moved on to another split.
