I have removed the fuel injection, wiring harness and all off my 79 bug.
need to know where to run the line from to the starter and the coil. does the coil need a ground to the - side.
the key turns on all the accessorys but not the start . also does the hot line come from the key on to the plus side of coil?
Any help would be appreciated, I'm dead in the water.
Thanks, Jerry

unless you removed it there still should be a power wire running into the engine compt ( should be black) that powers the + side of the coil NS qiew from there to the carb... when the key is turned on.

the neg - side does not ground but goes to the condenser wire on the distributor.
