| are all superbeetle struts interchangeable? could i put ones from a 73 on my 72? |

Super Beetle struts come in two versions:
Early 71 to mid '73 these bolt on to the spindle with 3 bolts at the bottom.
the strut is long.
Late mid '73 to '80 these bolt on to the spindle with 2 bolts.
The strut is 3-4" shorter.
The 2 types do not interchange, so it depends on if your '73 struts are
early '73 or late '73. |

Yes the 71-73 struts interchange within those years, as do the 74-79 also.
