The dash pod seal on my '54 needs replacing as what hasn't disintegrated is rock hard.
Can anybody suggest what to use as a replacement? I couldn't find anybody doing repros (although Kaefer Nostalgie do felt earlier ones)
Cheers

I should have been clearer. The one I'm looking for is the one that goes round the edge of the instrument cluster.
Think I'll order one of the ones above as well though. |

Hmm, all I recall are the felt and rubber. Can’t say I’ve ever noticed a cork version. If I did, I don’t remember it _________________ www.thebustransfer.com

Ha!
I’m not really sure when the change was done unfortunately. My guess would be all buses have rubber and the felt was “pre bus” , beetle etc. but I have nothing but instinct to back that up. _________________ www.thebustransfer.com

Kaefer Nostalgie list the felt seal as 38-52 so assuming the've done the research it's 53 for the rubber one.
Thanks for the link to the rubber repro. |

My 53 has a rubber seal. I believe they were all rubber originally. _________________ ----VW's in my garage----
