|
|
I have been going back and forth about paint colors, original color versus going sea blue/blue white. My M-code is for the sealing wax red /beige grey. I know I have seen hundreds of the busses but when it comes down to it, i cant recall how grey beige grey is.
So in your best idea is it more white than grey, look kind of white in a grey way etc.
I am 2 weeks out for paint, and really just trying to decide and weigh my options of what way to go.
thanks in advance for any opinions. _________________ Castle Rock, Co

it is more of a white than a grey.
it could be worse, mango green is nothing like the color of mangos. they are more of an orange. _________________ .

I found when the beige grey was put on it looked really grey! but as soon as the red went on it looked more of a cream colour, definately off white! _________________ UK 62 RHD 15 Window Deluxe

I find that the Beige Grey on my bus looks kinda beige.
I had a Sea Blue/Blue White bus and I like the SWR/BG alot better

I don't think it looks gray. It's a nice off white.
Personally I think the SB/BW combo looks weirder but that's just my personal opinion. |

Wouldn't it be; Sea blue/Cumulus white? I could be wrong, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a Sea blue/blue white bus. (at least not factory/OG). Dave P.S B/G looks, to me, looks more like putty/biege-gray-white to me). Not white, not gray, not biege. Very cool color if mixed right (like Mango).

'65 is sea blue/blue white, '66 & 7 are sea blue/cumulus white. I think sea blue/blue white is a great color combo. |

Campingbox is right. Sea Blue/Blue White is a 65 only colour combo.
I also agree that it is a nice combo, I like it better than Sea Blue/ Cumulus White, But I like SWR/BG better than either of those. _________________ The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge

I was going to re-paint this bus turkis/bluewhite, but the SWR/BG really grew on me.
Original paint except for drivers door below beltline.

not all mangoes are the same color, even on the same mango.

My bus is t/bw, and I love it. I guess I'd have to see sb/bw before judging the combo. |

My 21 was originally blue and white (for 65) and I decided that I wanted the SWR/BG. Although it may make a purest cringe, I happen to find it much more aesthetically pleasing. Every morning I roll out of my garage I turn to my wife and say, "Take a look at that beautiful bus!" Every morning, she says, "Yup!" _________________ 1965 21 Window

IMO I think beige grey is a very difficult shade to describe. A picture on a computer can be totally different than seeing it in person. Lighting has alot to do with the way one perceives the shade in question. In some of my pictures I feel it looks more of a cream color in others, for instance the picture of my bus on the tow truck
if you start by the passenger door it looks to be more of an off-white or even light tan and as you follow it towards the rear it turns to a light grey. That day was overcast but in the sun its all uniform in shade which is a very light light greyish white, if that makes any sense |
