OK, she's back alive again. Cleaned the battery terminals and the ground connection and viola, juice! I've got running lights and head lights, but still only the left brake light and no turn signals. Any ideas? Relay? Turn indicator switch? I can't wait to get her out on the street, but I would like to have both brake lights and turn signals before I venture out. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
Ok now check bulbs make sure all are good. make sure contact points are clean and making good contact. Give the relay a good tap, if in doubt about the relay working at all just go ahead and replace it. I dont know if the brake switch will have anything to do with only one brakelight coming on but I would go ahead and get underneath the bus and inspect it anyway.
You can also reverse the wires going to the right brake light, I say this because on mine I had them reversed and when I turned on the switch and stepped on the brake pedal I wouldn't get any brake light at all then I switched the wires and bam! working brake lights. give it a shot and see what happens |

Go get a test light ASAP and learn how to use it. Takes all the guesswork out of most electrical issues. |
