Joe,
Can I ask how much it cost to ship from Europe and how long it took to get the window seals once ordered?
We are restoring a 69 eriba puck and the window seals seem to be one of the big items we are missing...
I have an email ready to go to this guy (with the help of babelfish - which I am sure has done a horrendous job with the English to German translation - but it is better than me slaughtering it!).
Has anyone else used other types of seals when restoring??
Thanks! |

I know this is kind of late, but we visited Joerg Goesser (http://www.alt-eriba-register.de/html/ersatzteilliste_neuteile.html) when we were in germany this year to by seals for our Puck. Their seals are excellent quality and if they know what year your Puck is they can tell you which seals to use and how much you need. They are not cheap, but they are the only producer of OG profiles. In fact, Hymer (who still produces Eriba Puck today) has started a museum and Joerg is making the seals for the factory restorations!
One last hint; Often it is easier for the German speaking people to translate English than it is to translate one of the free website translations. Joerg's wife speaks pretty good English. |

Not sure whether this is of interest to anyone but I had to replace the seals on our old 63 puck as they were rotten. So I set about finding my own seal for a better price. It was a nightmare to find as the profile is pretty much non-existent. I eventually found a seller that had 30 metres left in his back store, so I bought the lot as they were unsure if they'd be able to get it again.
The great thing about the seal is it is slightly larger outside profile (few mm) so it covers any bubbling or scratches around the window that these vintage Eribas acquire over time. It really cleans up the window surround. It's also a nicer profile inside as its one clean slope opposed to the original groove that collects dust and dirt. The seal is really high quality and weighty.
Here's some pics of it on the Puck:
I sold what remaining seal I had left and thought nothing of it. I've recently had a couple of people come back to me asking whether I have anymore. So I got back in contact with the original supplier and he's found the mould and agreed to make me up some more. Only problem is the minimum order is 300m so I'd need to see if there was enough interest to warrant me doing it.
Alt Eriba (linked on the first page of the thread) have no more and won't be getting anymore for the foreseeable future.
Price, is £14.65 per metre. I can also supply the chrome in-fill strip (£3.75 per metre) which really brightens up the window and draws the eye in.
If you could let me know whether this would be of interest that would be great. The lead time is 2-3 weeks so orders could be sent out within a month if enough interest is shown. _________________ Monkeydub Car Parts - Stainless nut & bolt kits and rubbers seals
