Motor question for the day not giving up on the VW's

I have been gathering parts (mostly new and good stuff ) to build a 2276cc VW and have about $2000 in them.

Found a deal on a GM 4.3 V6 and adapter plate for the sand rail I am building...
I still have a few big VW motors
and was considering getting into a water cooled V6 for this rail project.

IF I was to sell the 2276cc VW

Would it be better to sell off the parts??
OR build the complete motor out to the heads
and sell it as a long block?
OR turn key with Dual Webers??

I would sell the parts but it depends on the person, also how much is your time worth? If youre like me no matter how careful you are you will always wonder if something might go wrong and then someone is pissed at you. also some people just can't leave well enough alone. I built a 396 chevy a couple of years ago, ran beautiful when it left. a month later it wouldn't run worth a crap. after finding fouled plugs and off timine the guy finally admitted that he just had to try and tune on it, stripped the dist. threads and messed w/ the idle circuits, I'm still trying to get that thing right again.
