Super feedback
I'll add the better drilling info to the instructions.
Actually we have also used a angle grinder to remove the rivets, but its kind of rough to the frame and if you dont paint it you loose the paint around the rivets because of the heat. But its fast
thanks
Regards

Got mine today in the mail. Ordered Thursday; received on Tuesday. Not bad all the way from Denmark! I have ordered stuff in adjacent states that got here slower....
Anyway, the material arrived and appear to be good quality. I will not be able to install them for a couple of weeks, but will post once I do. I want to install the Thing Shop reinforcement kit at the same time and get it blasted and powdercoated.

Wanted to add that I got my Volksbolts complete kit from Great Britain yesterday. Well-packaged in a food container, bubblepack, duct tape, and padded envelope. Looks very comprehensive. Ordered 5/31 and received 6/7. Nice.
First up: using the hex head SS door screws with my new Thing Shop SS hinge set.

I agree with all the feedback about rivet removal being a bit more than just a fast and dirty 2 hr job.... I used all the tools listed and more. BUT!! Once the rivets are removed, the soft top becomes ready for very easy complete rebuild.
Mine is just back from the blaster and now ready for final finish and Killer reassembly. |

Hi all
Due to feedback and the struckle that some users have removing the old rivets I am gonna supply drill bit kits next week.
The kit will be an addon to the killer nuts and will consist of 2 drill bits, a center punch and instructions on how to remove the rivets.
hope your gonna like that!
Thanks to kubelmann for adressing this issue

Andy,
Would you consider sending your past buyers the drill kit? I have not installed mine yet, too busy with installing pans at the moment.

The drill bit kit is an additional kit that will be offered for sale. Anyone can buy one. Prior buyers or new folks. Andy just went to the trouble to provide the two bits and punch to make the job go more smoothly. I used good and not so good bits and the correct quality and size bit made all the difference to allow an easy rivet removal. Also knowing that the rounded head must be drilled out and not the flat headed side. Also the flat jawed vice grips to hold the rivets still as the rounded head is drilled out is important information. |

Andy has just offered us a group buy deal on ten kits.
If we get ten of us together, we can get the kits for $50 each kit shipping included. That is actually a 15% discount over the regular price. |

Agreed!! I spoke with Andy about this and he now has the correct drill bit available. The first rivet is tough to do from there it gets better. But the finished product is awesome. These will soon be available on my web site directly from Andy. |
