I just ordered a set of the top frame bolts. I can't wait to get them. I removed the rivets and powder coated the frame a couple of years ago and have been trying to figure out how to put it back together since. I had a couple of ideas and was looking for someone to machine my own bolts until I saw these. It will be great to have a top again!

The parts cost me $63.97 USD after the exchange rate. I have not received the parts yet, but will post how they worked out for me after I get them.

Considering the current Euro rate that is a good price. You will like what you get. It is a great kit.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. Now what about straightening the frame? I have the usual bow above the windows. Is that something a body shop can take care of or do I have to go to a metal fabricator? I'm tempted to see what a metal fabricator can do and will charge for strengthening the frame prior to buying the Thing Shop top frame kit. Anyone have any experiences?

I used the Thing Shop Kit and had the local weld shop weld them on for me. I then had the parts powder coated and I put them back together with the Killer Nuts. I am very happy with my new top frame. Everything now fits like it should. I wish I would have done this years ago.

This kit is only for the thing.

I think 2 of rivets is the same size as the thing but most of the rivets on the beetle is bigger.

I will be looking into making a kit for the beetle.

3 Frame reinforcement
4. Killer Hardware Kit

These are now back in a new design that looks more like the OG rivet.

Se them at http://www.killer-products.dk/hood-nuts.html

I know this is a dormant thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has ordered a set of these rivets recently. It's been a while since I placed my order and paid, and I haven't heard anything. I sent an email earlier, hopefully I'll get a reply.

Just rebuilt my frame with this kit. This has got to be one of the best upgrades. I ground the peened side of the rivets so I did not need to drill the old ones out. Parts fit perfect. Very nice fit and very nice quality. Even the allen wrench had the ball on one end for that one hard to get to bolt. Thanks itiot for making this set.

Can these be installed one by one while frame is still on car?
