I'm thinking about getting some fully chromed JGE raders for my new 1966. I'm planning on just running drop spindles.

What I've been looking at for tires sizes:

145 up front
165 in back

Will this look decent with a 4 inch narrowed beam? Also, will there be any issues with the raders and stock wide 5 drums? I've heard of people having to use spacers or something.

Some pics of the car as it sits:

Thanks guys.

those tires are gonna be pretty skinny on there. exact sizes are going to need to fit your stance. if your going 4" i'd imagine your going to run it pretty low. I'd recommend 175/55 up front and something like 195/60 in rear. that'll get ya way down. Prolly want something a little bigger if your not going very low.

find some pics of a bug you like on rims and ask what size the tires are.

I'm planning on just running drop spindles. And one notch out back.

Here's a car I found in this classifieds which I like the stance of (up front):

It has a 4" beam and just drop spindles according to the ad. I asked what tire size he was running. I just don't see a lot of people running JGE's around here, so tire size, drop spindles, etc....is difficult to compare.

That's got to have adjusters turned down as well, you can't almost tuck rim with just spindles.

Well I got a email from the seller of the car above. Apparently it does not have beam adjusters.....with 135's.

Any other opinions on what I should run?

Has it been cut and turned? Are the spindles custom for more than a 2.5" drop?

Here's some cars from another post with just 2.5" drop spindles just to give you a better idea...

Thanks Shane, well turns out the guy IS running adjusters too (reading comprehension must not his strong point).
