The port for vacuum advance is the one pointing out to the side on the left side of the carb. This is true for any stock-type Solex carb.
Note this - If this is a standard H30/31, then it won't provide enough vacuum to pull an SVDA's diaphram around much. So your distributor will act mostly like an 009. ( Aircooled.net sells a modified H30/31 and a tweaked SVDA are supposed to function together properly. )
How do I know this about the H30/31? Last spring I did testing and wrote a report with pictures about it. You can find it here:

A stock 034(SVDA) and H30/31 do not work together. _________________ Glenn

I had a Solex H30/31PICT on a bone stock 1600 and tried a 009, 034 , 019 and 010 and found the 019 and 010 were better than the 009 or 034.

This has been covered - vac signal is weak - so its like running an SVDA without the vacuum line connected. The proper Vac advance dist has a larger vacuum can to work with the lower vac signal - Aircooled.net also has an SVDA that is set up to work with the carb. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.
