Hi I have a 54 BD and need to get a key made for the ignition can someone tell me if there is a number on the lock and if so where it is, also who is the best person to make one. Very Happy

The number is on the face of the ignition.

For example, P145:

The P series is definitely 54-55. A229 in the background may be an earlier Bus or even Split-Window Beetle.

Thanks I thought it was a scratch on the lock I can see a P but I think I will have to get a magnifying glass to decript the rest any ideas on who could make me a key in the UK Very Happy

I also got my key from gabriel, from emailing him the key code to getting my key through the letter box in the uk took about 7 days, excellent service.

A series ignition is super early (I think 50 only) and the rest seem to be P series. My 52 has a P profile key
