77 Westy and I am trying to remove those pestky track covers on the rear of both sides of the bus. Got the two screws removed but they don't budge.

Try to slide it forward a bit (at least sliding door side with slider open). Then tap it up out of the groove.

Does that make sense?

I had to tap mine upwards with a piece of lumber, once they were broken loose they came off ok.

got the sliding door side off by tapping it forwards then up.

Do you just tap the other one up?

Pretty rusty on the backside of the covers, darn. Shocked

Should be three screws total, two on the side near the nose of the bus.

Tapped it up a bit at each end, the rear is tapered so you have to be careful not to nick the paint as it wedges itself in there. Once it's moving tap it forward a bit as it goes up.

Had another bus with more advanced rust that I had to use a piece of 1x4" with the end shaped like a wedge so I could pound from underneath, right beside the upper joint.

Different years have different amounts of screws, the newer it is the less screws.
