Ihave a 1.9l digijet & have noticed the cost of a new AFM to be considerably more than the AFM on a 2.1l digifant...Is it possible to have the digifant AFM modified to fit the digijet??? Baz |

I played with this several years ago, and if memory serves, one of the differences is that the air intake boot is a different size at the AFM side - just slightly, so that part won't fit. Even if that did fit, you likely have a narrow-throat throttle body which that same boot is way too big for.
You can't even swap the whole air box as the mounting is a little different, too (again, IIRC). I unfortunately can't speak to the possibility of putting a 2.1 AFM on a 1.9 airbox.
I think the point is that you'd have to get a bunch of other stuff to make it work which would likely eat up all your cost savings...

I might be able to get you a new Digijet AFM for a little less than what the Digifant piece goes for. PM me in you're interested. |
