If you look close there are still a few parts on these cars, it's not open to the public sorry. I had an idea to shoot some of the cars in the dead of winter and make a calendar. Any interest in that? Color or black and white? Enough there for type 1,2,3,4 respectively or would you mix it up?

I would do color. Yes, I would mix it up on the types if you do that.

Yes it will definitely be a 2018 calendar maybe 2019 because they need to be ready with plenty of lead time. Don't calendars usually start selling around August, September or sooner for a 16 month one?

You look at that and make the observation, you think one piece generator stand, 1960 last year for 36 hp, 1958 first year not oval so you can narrow it down to 58-60 car even though most of it is obliterated. Conclusion? VW nut.

My first car I bought was a used '65 bug with a 36 hp engine in it. The factory is not the only way a 36 gets in there.

I had no idea that 36 hp motors were used (factory) that late. My friends dads 58 bug had a 40 hr, but now I think he must have done that himself. Thanks for the info.

This. Theoretically, a 36 could end up in a 74 Super Beetle.
