These and dozens more are rotting away out back of this guy's property. He had a few split busses and Type 3s out front too but I can't see them anymore, except for one sticking out a falling down building.

Been sitting here for quite some time... Retired due to torque converter bolts letting go... Far too gone to save...

Was fully restored, tree fell on it years ago in a friends back yard. The oval roof was saved when the local vw mechanic decided to scrap the car. It was hacked apart and in the back of a truck ready for the smelter. Atleast the roof was saved.[/img]

Sounds like a pretty good match there -- cut the felled tree to get the restored car out, chop off the smashed roof, then graft on the saved oval roof.
