I bought a 73 parts bus, and used the nose from it on my 76. The steering column bracket mounts differently I find out after the deed is done. The column bracket on my steering column is longer, and welded to the tube whereas the 73 bracket is shorter and was bolted to the column tube. I can drill a new hole in the nose for a bolt/nut to hold the bracket, but I'm afraid that I won't get the steering wheel/column at the right position just guessing how upright it should be. Anyone else run into this? TIA

Can you use a column for an earlier bus? I am assuming you grafted in more than just the skin of the nose? I'd think you could get an idea of the angle by sitting in the driver's seat and holding the wheel in position. At this point, you will just need to be innovative. Sorry can't be of more help.

Yeah, we replaced the whole front clip. Thanks for the reply, I'll just put it where it feels right while in the driver seat.
