So they steal someone elses pics of a bus for sale, post an ad with their own paypal account number, and somebody might be quick to 'buy it now' and deposit the money?
I would think that is major fraud and can be traced rather easily.

He won't. I already told him I was in Miami and wanted to come see the Bus tomorrow. For some reason, he didn't reply.

I'd be interested to know how they do this.
My guess would be they have a fake web site that looks like eBay escrow but is not. It probably grabs more personal information from you too, so they can steal your identity or credit card #s, or whatever.
