Sorry this isn't better advance warning, but there is an event coming up here in Colorado. This event has been mentioned on some of the syncro and subaru conversion groups, but I know there's a few guys we missed that live here. Here's the details I copied from another posting...
The first annual RMW Summer Treffen, (german for meeting/get together)
camping and socializing in the mountains west of Fort Collins. Rocky
Mountain Westy is hosting this event and we will be meeting up Friday night
June 15th at their home base. If you are interested in engine conversions,
this is a place to see an assortment.
Details at http://rmwesty. com/
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Rocky-Mountain-Syncro-Fest/ is
devoted primarily to Colorado syncro events, but open to other interesting
Colorado get togethers. Feel free to sign up here: There are some pictures
and more details on this and other events.
At this get-together there will be a handful of syncros but the terrain will
happily accomodate 2wd vans and you are welcome to come join in the fun.
Please RSVP if you are interested so we can know what to expect.
Details at http://rmwesty. com/
Check it out, hope to see a few of you there. It is worth it just to see all the radical SVX conversion stuff RMW is doing! (soon to be in my van!!)Cheers, Joel _________________ Joel Lane

Alas, I shall be sleeping in Winston rather far to the south of that that night, for it is the summer and I am using him for the purpose for which I purchased him. Three of us showed up at VW's on the Green, at least.
I hope you all have a lovely time! Perhaps some year I'll be able to make it.

Post the gatherings and shows in the Community part of the Samba
Click community and add a show.
You will have more people seeing it this way as it doesn't go down the list when people don't post to it. |

I think we are going to try and make this if I can fix whatever it is that is making the engine run so loud. Sounds like a good time and especially for a quick weekend getaway. |

I had notes about VWOTG two weeks, one week, and the Friday before! I said I'd be there, with Winston! Joetiger and krautwagen turned up, and a few other people. Due to my Summer work schedule, VWOTG was about my last chance to get Winston out and show him 'til August.
MightyArt's right, of course, about the 'Community' forum, but my posts were Rob & Winston specific.

Hey Mighty I know you have a job to do but if this didn't get posted here I wouldn't know about it. I do not check the community posts, and why would I they often are not what I'm looking for. I am interested in Vanagon Westies and primarly Syncro's on that note. Thanks for the post I hope it didn't clutter anybodies day. |
