Does anyone have the measurements for the two squares and long retangular piece that are used in the center of the hitch that mount, i'm assuming, to the frame horn carriers/transaxle mount?

Didn't Dave Barnes have a NOS one or did he sell it? Or is the hardware different from year to year?

Dang. I went out to measure mine for you, I was even going to do it in metric. The pressed crossmember ones are too hidden to get to. They dissappear into the horns. The squarer outer ones are too hard to read the measure. I know Golde has them and he'd probably tell you in metric, too. That hitch was righteous and the strongest one for a '67.

And for a good chunk of change. I bought my first Westy for three hundred bucks more than that hitch likely sold for if he got asking price. But its a rare piece I guess.

The long one is 250 mm X 25 mm X 5 mm. The holes are 198 mm on center. The holes are the same holes as for the bumper bracket-to-frame bolts only not slotted. The long one goes on the bumper.

Do you have anything that shows how it mounts?

Nevermind I got it. Thanks Thom.

Post a picture of it when you have it mounted on your Westy. That hitch sat against a garage wall in Santeefor 10 years at least and who knows when it was last on a Westy.

How thick is the metal on the mounts? It's looks like it's the same as the arms. I think I'll just try and make my own and save my cash for the electrical hook-up.

No problem! I'll have to lose my sump, straighten out the hitch itself and paint it but when it's done i'll post some pics.

What Everett said.
I drove down with an NOS hitch and came back with crofty's new to him hitch.
They were cool to compare them against each other though.

The NOS one was dated 1973, but was for split buses.
The one Crofty bought is dated 1967 and they were identical hitches....

Thanks Dave.

73 has to be the last yr for the split bus style. Didn't even know they went that late.

Thanks again.

I've seen quite a few with 70s manufacture dates. Also seen barndoor hitches and have literature with post barndoor dates and 56-58 hitches with 60s dates.

The factory kept offering the hitches after the bus model stopped being made.
