| Went last year for the first time. It's now on my "List". It is very relaxed atmosphere under the pines. Perfect for those of us suffering through the desert heat all summer. They have a pretty good raffle, too. See you there! |

Using 'Wickedwaters' formula for relaxing we were at 114 degrees yesterday and 115 for today! So I believe we qualify:

speaking of the weather, it takes place in the middle of monsoon season so you never know what to expect. I drove up there one friday night with the lightning lighting my way.

We've got things in motion for the Event. This years Event is our 10 year Anniversary and we hopefully will make it one to remember. If anyone wants to donate a raffle prize please just bring it to the Event and we will put it with the rest of the stuff. Hopefully the rains will come and the forest will be open. We are working on the fliers as we speak and we will update the info on www.horizontallyopposed.us and the Coming Events section here on Samba. If you've never attended this great Event in the past you owe it to yourselves to come and join us.

| We drove home from Blackstar / OCTO through Heber. That whole area from Payson to NM on hwy 260 and then US 60 is absolutely beautiful. It reminded me alot of where I grew up in Colorado, and made me homesick. I will definately be attending the campout (barring unforseen problems) and will be bringing the NMBC crew with me. |

Stitch, My wife and I will be going up on Wednesday August 1, we will be getting there hopefully around 11 am or so. The signs won't be put out until probrably Thursday night. I'll keep everyone posted and soon the map will be posted to our website. Glad to see you are going to make it again this year.

I am not quite sure when the port - a - johns will be there. Last year they got dropped off on Thursday afternoon. I will find out and post it later on.

My wife and I usually go the Wednesday before the Event and stay til the following Wednesday. If you want to go on Wednesday, you are more than welcome to come and get a great spot before the others arrive. We are very easy to get along with.
