Oh my.

Thanks for all the info.

I got my dropped spindles today. I'm contemplating calling in sick tomorrow or Wed, and installing them before the trip!

For those going who may wonder what routes are being taken...

Obie and I will be traveling from Tucson to Globe - then up 188 Apache Trail to 288 and up that to 260 and Forrest Lakes. This will be Friday evening / Sat Morning. So if anyone gets stuck you'll have two people with Type I and Type IV experience on those roads.

You know, while everyone else is looking for a nice level spot, you can park downhill to level out your bus. It opens up a bunch of campsite opportunities...

I just got off work, and I am getting ready to drive up to Cordes Lakes to my home and load up the Panel. I have to go and get a tire repaired in the am, then up through Camp Verde and then up to the campsite. Please be careful on the roads and watch for elk. See you all there!!!!! Very Happy

Das Dragon is right... I am packed and ready to get outta dodge ... just have to work till 3pm then hitting the road... should be about 4 to 4 1/2 hours there (and I gain a hour)... so I am thinking 6:30 or 7pm is when I will get there. What time does it get dark out there? Rolling Eyes 276 miles will be a nice drice if I can keep the kids busy with a DVD and not fighting Shocked I think we are out growing the bus. Crying or Very sad

Stitch, sundown is at 7:20-ish AZ time. You need to either marry off your oldest or buy a second bus! j/k

Bus is packed ,full of fuel, and ready to roll. We will leave Buckeye at 4-5 am, tomorrow (wed). We will head to Pine and Strawberry and then cruise that dirt road along the rim heading east and spend the night around there. Then Thursday we will head towards Greer and Hanagan Meadow and spend the night around there. We will pull into Heber Friday around 10 am. See you at the camp out. Mark & Teresa.

Just got a call from Stitch. He's loaded down and making pretty good time in the headwinds, the hills, and the rain. He's a bit worried about ripping his muffler off when he gets to the campsite...

Lowered westy + 7 people and camping gear = no more muffler...

Andy from Yuma stopped by on his way to Northern NM. His bus was having issues with what he thinks is fuel pump related. He said he'd be rolling in sometime late friday or early saturday.

We're leaving Albuquerque here around 7pm Tomorrow. We'll be driving straight through until we get there. We'll be heading out I-40 to the Holbrook area and then heading South.

See you all soon

We'll catch you tomorrow, Mike. We're loading everything up tonight. Roof rack in the front will help push the nose down a bit. . . who needs a stinkin' muffler anyway?

Enjoying Northern New Mexico. We will be rolling back down to the rim early friday morning. Making an attempt to get there around noon. Bus is running good, just making a noise I couldn't quite figure out. Anyway it was good seeing you Mike even though it was at work. At least now you can use me as a witness that you actually do have a job. J/K. Anyway thanks for the quick service and I'll see you on Friday.

Update; Jim Burnite and family may not make it until Saturday. His little summer adventure is about 3,500 miles. Two words, "Road Warrior"

Got home safely last night around six, and even got Heather to the airport on time! We had to break formation to do it (sorry guys) but we couldn't have made it on time going 55...

We had a blast seeing everyone and hanging out with good friends. Sorry about the monsoon! I'll try to shake the stick a little less next time.

Thanks to everyone involved for putting on the campout. It was a blast and we will definately be back!

See you all in a few weeks at Jerome!
