I see the picture (thanks, Thom!), but missed the answer . . . who is making these? And is the Karosserie number found anywhere else on the car other than on this tag?

It's not found anywhere on the car and it's not on the birth certificate. The Karosserie number was always a bit off the body number.
It was for the completed cars leaving the factory.
I ended up detailing my tag and it came up like new.
